Peony - king of flowers. ボタンシーズンの写真

Good evening from Japan~
The peony is among the longest-used flowers in Eastern culture and is one of the smallest living creature national emblems in China. Along with the plum blossom, it is a traditional floral symbol of China, and is used symbolically in Chinese art.In Japan, peony is called 牡丹 - ぼたん (Botan) or 牡丹の花. It is also considered as the "King of Flowers" or the "Prime Minister of Flowers."

Last week I had a chance to visit a peony garden in Ueno. The garden is located inside Toshogu shrine (東照宮神社). It is very common in Japan that many flower gardens are developed inside a shrine, and as new season comes, every body goes to seeing those.

Sakura season has ended one month ago. In Japan, thinking of May it's rose season!!! But it hasn't started yet, may be from middle of May...

But, we have peonies (*'▽'*)♪. Let me show you some photos I took at peony garden !

I thought that peony is rose-relatives, but am I wrong?

Pink, white...

Can you image how big the flowers are?

one of my favorite photos

Yae-sakura, its name?

Very first shots with film camera

Hello from Japan,

Today is Monday, the day is said to be hated most in one week because it ends the weekend and everybody has to go to work :)

But it's now one of the "biggest" holidays in Japan (which actually means national holidays + weekend = a LONG off-day). It's called "Golden Week" in Japan, although the "golden" part has no history or culture meaning at all (≧∇≦)

Yeah after finishing job-hunting I'm taking quite a long break before coming back to school. To kill my free time I has just started some projects with DIY, fabric and film camera.
Film camera is very new to me. Actually I bought my film camera Minolta srt101 last year's winter and took some shots, but because of my stupidness (and carelessness), I spoiled the film and all photos taken has gone forever (´;ω;`)

I'm very careful this time, and here's the result: took 24 shots, all good. But only 10 shots were good enough to show to somebody... So...(;_;)

If you have any experience about choosing films or taking photos with film camera, please share!!!
Thanks and enjoy ~ (*'▽'*)♪

[Photo entry] Summer starts from here

Finally all the classes and exams of this semester have ended. I was having busy days with them. I went to school from the morning and came back never before it's dark.
A reward for my effort this semester: summer vacation !!! For about 2 days, then I'll be back on track with other things to do, do learn, to read.
Summer brings me the feeling of youth.

It's hot though...

What about you? How are you enjoying your summer, or winter now?
Hope you're having a good time.
And hope you like my photo ^o^

Japan traveling: Spring time

Finally the so-called Spring has come. The true Spring with sakura, warmness and sunny day brought me lots of energy lol. I felt like I was reborn after a long cold winter (Winter is fun with snow too, but it's tooooo cold).
So, let's enjoy spring time.
This spring, I had chance to travel around Japan with my mom. We traveled a lot, from Tokyo, Yokohama to Mt Fuji, Hakone and Kansai.
Day 1: Tokyo: Asakusa temple, Tokyo tower, Odaiba, Shinjuku, and some shopping ^^.

Tokyo is such a beautiful metropolitan

Yokohama, long time no see!!!! I love you :*

Second day we went to Yokohama city. It was cloudy and windy, but Yokohama was still a beautiful as it always is. In the afternoon, we were back to Tokyo in the middle of a storm, but mom still enjoyed shopping at Akihabara and dinner at Ginza. ^0^
Third day we left Tokyo *cry* and headed to Mt Fuji.
Mt Fuji - a holly mountain
an active volcano near Fuji-san.
It is said that if you eat one egg boiled in this volcano, you will live 7 years longer

And I ate one haha

Day 4th: we went climbing up to Mt Fuji (by bus ^^). The nearer we went to Mt Fuji, the more clearly we could see the snow up to its top.
I felt like being somewhere near Russia
spring flower at Hamamatsu city
Kinkakuji - Kyoto
Next day we went to Kyoto and Osaka.

Sakura has started to blossom in Kyoto
It is said that you'll get luck if you drink water from those 3 streams.
Osaka - I felt a deep sadness as I took this photo
But Osaka is a really noisy and fun city

The trip ended there with lots of souvenirs bought by mom. We enjoyed the trip very much. After mom went back home, I waited for my friend at Osaka to start another trip lol. I will write about it in the next entry ^0^.
